The recent public consultation phase of the Darnhall Neighbourhood Plan (The Plan) has completed and amendments have been made to improve the plan’s compliance with local & national planning requirements and to strengthen some of the policies. We would like to thank everyone who provided feedback. The Plan is now ready for submission to the Local Authority, Cheshire West & Chester Council, who will do some further consultation and submit it to an examiner; after that, residents will have an opportunity to vote on the plan in a referendum.
However, due to Covid 19 measures the process has been suspended and we are awaiting confirmation from Cheshire West & Chester Council as to when it will restart. The Plan will give Darnhall residents a say that has legal weight in future planning matters.
The Regulation 14 consultation period ended on 23rd March 2020 and further responses can not be considered.

The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (Regulation 14)
Darnhall Parish Council, as the qualifying body, has prepared a Neighbourhood Plan for the period to 2030 (the Plan) for Darnhall Parish with the help of the local community. The Plan sets out a vision for the future of the Parish and planning policies, which will be used to determine planning proposals locally.
Darnhall Parish Council is now inviting comments on the proposals in this Pre-Submission version of the Plan before it is submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council for formal consideration and wider consultation.
The consultation opens for comment on 10th February 2020. The deadline for comments to be received by Darnhall Parish Council is midnight on 23rd March 2020.
